As yall know I'm union. Well we were promised a bonus for the underground piping. We all agreed and went to project manager ad a group n discussed it like grown men as we hanentn gotten the bonus. PM took notes n listened to complaints. He's gonna call higher ups n get it sorted out. If it was anything else we were all gonna walk. Luckily (so far) we figured it out like adults. The 2 helper kids are around 18. Theyre from Virginia so they're travelers. The PM said somethin like "by the contract you guys may not get anything but we'll try". Well that lit their asses on fire. Mind you, they get paid travel time, company paid stay at a Hilton and per diem with above rate pay. They decided to call the one helpers daddy (boss) n get sent back home next week. Just cuz wanted to be 5 min from a job. Started talkin shit then. I looked one dead in the eyes n said "u have good foremen who pay you 40 hrs when we work 30 or less, you don't have to kill yourself for your check, you get a free hotel and you make more than the rest of us. You'll give all those perks up to make $18/hr to sleep in your bed. You'll never make it as a journeyman." He said "sure I will." Told him he was an idiot for not takin my advice to buy a work beater car. His response? "I don't like cars. Cars suck. I need a truck. I'll always drive a truck." I replied, good thing urs is in the shop with the trans out n ur makin payments. Meanwhile I drive a 20 yr old saturn that makes it to work every day. Have fun with that attitude.
These dumbasses are told to stay on the roof because no one will see them n can watch their tick tocks or whatever. They can't even do that. They HAVE to be in the lay down yard in full view of everyone and cameras.

My foreman did say "I love that u bully those idiots. They need it. They have no idea what this work is when we ain't held up over BS."

It's sad they're handed a bag of gold n it's too heavy. If I made 1400 a week at 18.... I'd be dead or a millionaire, there's no in between.
