Wow! I have to give thanks to all you fine gentlemen and especially to @Better_Bachelor Met a young man who works on Land Side at my company. He was on the phone, pacing fast, hands in the air. Looked like he was about to cry. He saw me and paused. I asked if he was alright. He got off the phone and completely dumped everything. Just moved down from Philly, has a wife and kids. Wife was making him miserable. Spending money, asking about going to school, not taking care of the kids, scrolling endlessly on the apps, we all know the drill. I let him talk for a while and asked the questions…
Is she bringing you peace at home or is she demanding and arguing?
Does she want for anything?
After a few questions he was asking if I was listening in to their home life.

“Man, this is the world of western women now. She is manufacturing problems to blame you. It’s feminism 101. You gotta stand up, don’t allow her to treat you like a doormat. You provide, she doesn’t. She has to step up or step out. She is making everyone’s life in that house terrible. Set boundaries, let her know, in a calm but direct fashion that she is out of line and you won’t tolerate this crap anymore. It’s hurting you, it’s hurting your kids and it’s wildly wrong.”

They’re doing the therapy thing and I shot that down hard, “great, another woman feminist telling you that you’re the problem. Fuck that shit, next time you see that therapist, you tell her what you do for that family and how you’re being mistreated. If she don’t agree, get up and walk out. Don’t tolerate that shit. Here (showed the Better Bachelor site), this is a community of men. Learn to be a man, learn stoicism, fatherhood, how to protect yourself legally.”

“If things go south, you fight like hell for those kids. They have a much better chance with you than some out of control psycho.”

So I’m hoping the young man finds this site and stands up for himself. And I’m very grateful to y’all (grudgingly @bubx, you perv) that I have learned the intellectual wherewithal to counter all his arguments and situations he’s dealing with and provide immediate steps he can take to counter what is going on in his very turbulent life. The kid wants to do the right thing. But he felt all alone and isolated. I’m hoping I gave him a way forward in strength and dignity and that there are people that can help.
