Had to meet the ex briefly yesterday, to get a permission to travel form notarized. Her wealthy cousin [good guy, I know him] is an ex pat now living in Spain, invited my daughter & ex to visit him in San Sebastian for a few days.

I did all my research, made plans to travel if needed myself for any situation, etc. I have contacts there. I know his address, phone number, and got the full itinerary of border crossings etc too.

Anyway, I arrived at the Notary Public's office. Soon the ex shows up with our daughter.

We get called into the room and sit across the NP's desk. He's reviewed the form and explains his responsibilities. All normal professional service. Good.

Next, he takes our I.D.s and cross-checks all the data and explains the fee for his service.

Finally, he slides the form to me for review and signature. Fine.

I open my phone to compare the paper form against a template the ex sent me a week earlier for continuity and accuracy. Normal procedure before signing any legal document. No prob...

But suddenly, in front of the NP & our daughter the ex loudly guffaws and mockingly begins to laugh at me saying, "Oh my god, he's checking to make sure I didn't change anything!" and continues to overact with more forced laughter.

I immediately knew what to do. I glanced up at the NP who was now looking at my ex. He never reacted. But she definitely made an impression upon his mind and memory.

Then I went back to reading everything.

Soon her laughter stopped and she sat quietly in her chair, arms and legs folded, as I said nothing and allowed her stupidity stink up the room for a longer moment.

When I was done reviewing, I signed. Silently.

The ex now embarrassed by her behavior before the NP & our daughter, tries making humorous and appealing small talk with the NP, who politely joins in. I watched her squirm, remain predictable and stupid. Soon all the signatures were booked, etc...

As she stood to leave I looked at my daughter and she looked back with her "knowing" glance. And they left.

Once they were gone, the NP told me my fee was on the house.

The ex is a complete wreck around me after our last court trial where my super-bitch of an attorney kicked her ass and our Judge got pissed at my ex and returned my daughter to me. 50/50

What'a dumb bitch to think I wouldn't review a legal form. She knows i have experience with Interpol and other time helping The U.S. State Department regarding foreign travel & security for dignataries etc...

Anyways...our daughter will enjoy an all expense paid European vacation. And i'll have contacts in the area(s) if needed.
