My decking showed up yesterday delivered by a big truck that was loaded in Maryland. Some of the pallets looked like the truck ran over it before loading. Surprisingly, there was very little damage. Overall the quality of the wood is good, but there are some of the 2x4s that are crowned so badly I'm not sure they would be usable. They are the pieces that are left behind when buyers are picking through a stack to find the good ones.
This is 4350 pounds of Brazilian cherry. Excluding the $1700 freight cost, the wood, hidden fastening system and end sealer was just under $10k.
Next step is to work on cutting and installing the railing system. Most people use nails or screws or brackets. I'm going to attempt installing the railing to the posts with wood dowels to make the fasteners completely hidden. So far I have not seen anyone else use this method, not because it's not strong enough, it's that it takes far more work.

A bit of a scattered video, but I want to address men and losing their emotional awareness, Fresh and Fit's fallout due to losing control of their emotions and how Rich Cooper from Entrepreneurs In Cars calls me out (in the correct logical way) and a response to that.
