This isn't a 'fear monger' post, but just a suggestion...

I watch news and doom scroll on 'X' and news websites all day. It's part of the brain damage I must suffer to find content.

Many analysts are saying due to the price of diesel, prices will likely increate 20%-40% on most household goods, including food, not because of an oil shortage, but because of a refinery shortage, unable to turn enough oil to fuel. This was all before Ukraine just hit several more refineries in Russia the past few days.

To save money and have a hedge against shortages, I have gone out and picked up canned food and long shelf life dry goods (that I love to eat, food shortage or not) and most other necessities for 3-4 months.

It might be a good idea to make sure you have a bit of a food, toilet paper, soap, water etc supply, just because things may go south worse than expected, and the price is likely to go up in the next several months anyway.

EDIT Let me add my favorite, simple recipe for a great stew that the ingredients can sit on a shelf for years.

1 - 28oz Large can precooked roast beef $11 (Walmart, Grocers)
1 - Can of corn
1 - Can of carrots
1 - Can of green beans
1 - Can of diced tomatos
1 - Onion powder (enough for months of meals)
1 - Garlic powder (enough for months of meals)
1 - Worcestershire sauce (enough for months of meals)
1 - Adobo Spice (enough for months of meals)
1 - Bottle Of Soy Sauce low sodium (enough for months of meals)
~ 10 brown gravy packets (1/2 packet per stew)

Add a can of the meat, veg in a crock pot, heat it up to taste but you'll likely want to add some dashes of Worcestershire and soy for salt & flavor/umami, some garlic powder, onion powder (fresh onion is better but doesn't keep as well), half a pack of brown gravy and let it cook for 4-8 hours depending on your crock pot.

Taste as you go to see what you want to add. This will make 3-6 meals of stew for about $20 after initial spice purchase costs. Pour it over rice and it will make almost twice the number of meals.

Freeze it in individual containers, lasts for months. If too dry, a little cream cheese or butter can be added on reheat to fatten it up.

Cleanup is your crockpot and a stirring spoon, very simple.

Better Bachelor Podcast Episode 42 Men and Emotions Don't Mix

A bit of a scattered video, but I want to address men and losing their emotional awareness, Fresh and Fit's fallout due to losing control of their emotions and how Rich Cooper from Entrepreneurs In Cars calls me out (in the correct logical way) and a response to that.

Land / Cost Update For Men's Retreat

Ok fellas, I've enlisted GrokBot to do some calculations, look for land listings and it's done a hell of a good job.

The idea is this buildout is the final goal, but we'll likely have something temporary in the meantime so the land is at least usable (rainwater collection with ad hock shower/wash station, some solar for wifi/electronic device charging, clearing for RV/Tent, outhouse or compost toilets etc)

I've contacted real estate agents for the following properties:

$59,000 10.13 Acres 10.13-ac 10.13-ac Forest Trails Ln, Celina, TN 38551
$79,900 8.6 Acres 0 Moss Arcot Rd, Celina, TN 38551
$54,900 5.51 Acres 5.51-ac Beaver Ln, Gainesboro, TN 38562
$33,998 5 Acres, 5 Benton Tidwell Rd, Hilham, TN 38568

I've asked it to come up with a building design / ideas in our budget window, here's what we're looking at (I've given it $200,000 to work with as a total so we have plenty of left over for things it didn't calculate):

Estimates only (2026-09-19). Not contractor bids. Minimal permits required for ...

Below in this post, please list TV shows AND MOVIES you'd like me to acquire

So you guys have various preferences for television night. Some are very obscure that I can't find for download so I'll have to dig a bit deeper, but leave a list and I'll snap as many as I can up. I'll likely need to get a larger hard drive at some point, but we can get started.

I could use your help. If you come across interesting content you'd like to see discussed and broken down, please post it below. We might get duplicates and things I may decide not to discuss, but it will help me find new ideas and perhaps new topics. Please stay away from horrible women raping or murdering, it's too depressing to really do content on; women suffering from bad decisions is of course certainly acceptable. Video compilations other creators do aren't my thing, but videos on YouTube or elsewhere from dimwitted women are perfect. Anything regarding ...
